What beautiful photos. The way the snow is sculpted on the side of the road reminds me of being snowbound once in the Sierras. Little birds built ice night nests in the cavities along where the snowplow had cut away the drifts.

I imagine they must have been wrens. they will make a nest in a coat pocket on the clothes line, given a chance.
