I want to thank everyone for their support over the dog incident(s.) The whole episode has taken its toll on me, emotionally.
Sweetie is not taking away my revolver after all, but he has gotten me a battery powered, plastic pellet, semi- and fully-automatic weapon that looks like an assault rifle. That is to be my everyday, run the dogs off the property weapon.
The revolver is only to be used in dire circumstances.
Now, back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Ahhh.. I was going to suggest an Airsoft gun! My husband plays and we have tons of those guns in the house - I have a small pistol that shoots metal bbs (sort of like a pellet gun but WAY nastier) which I've used to keep stray dogs out of the yard and away from the kitty.
Oohh...I want one.
